List General Contractor (List GC) plans further growth and redesigns its management team, aiming to secure its market position in the Yacht New Build sector and expand its Residential and Refit & After Sales business areas. To achieve these goals, the luxury interior outfitter has brought two internationally successful managers on board.
Headquartered in Bad Erlach, in the state of Lower Austria, List GC is one of the top international experts in interior outfitting for luxurious motor and sailing yachts as well as apartments and residences. Production has been carried out at their site in southern Lower Austria since 2017. Their exclusive products are exported from here and sent all over the world. Currently employing 230 members of staff, List GC is creating new prospects in the region. List GC has succeeded in bringing highly qualified specialists to Bad Erlach and retaining them.

“Our business has developed extremely well in recent years. We aim to continue along this path as a successful family-owned company based on a strong set of values and culture. And now, we also want to make targeted investments in professionalisation and expanding our market position. Our new management trio will provide us with strategic power, flexibility and drive,” says Theresa Ludwiger-List, Speaker of the Board.

Economic intuition
The new division of labour has already been decided. Theresa Ludwiger-List will remain part of the management board and continue to lead the family-owned company as she has done since 2016. The two new successful additions to the management board are Gabriela Zraunig and Ursula Leinemann, two experts in finance and corporate management. “I’m very pleased that we were able to recruit Gabriela Zraunig and Ursula Leinemann to join List GC. They have both convincingly demonstrated their abilities in a number of industries throughout their careers and shown that they have the economic intuition needed to make effective use of opportunities for growth. I look forward to working with them and the other executives at List GC to expand the company and strengthen our future,” Ludwiger-List continues.

Ursula Leinemann is excited about the new tasks awaiting her at List GC: “List GC’s passion for real craft and innovative spirit are inspirational. I’m looking forward to the challenges we’ll encounter when guiding this company on its way to success and shaping its future.” Gabriela Zraunig agrees, adding: “I’m happy to be back in Austria and working for such a successful family-owned business, especially as I can use my expertise to ensure List GC continues on its positive trend.”

Plenty of orders on the books
Since commissioning their own in-house production facility at their Bad Erlach site in 2017, List GC has offered everything from a single source as a general contractor – from planning, through project management, all the way to manufacturing and outfitting. Eleven projects in the yacht construction and refitting sector have been successfully implemented in their in-house factory since production started. “Our order books are well-filled until 2022, which means we’re making great use of our in-house production facility,” says Theresa Ludwiger-List.

Yacht new build currently makes up around 85% of List GC’s sales; the company is aiming to secure their position in this market for the long term and increase strategic collaboration with shipyards. List GC has already left their mark on more than 300 successful residential projects and 350 refitting projects (new designs and conversions of individual areas of yachts) all around the globe. The company is now stepping up its activity in these business segments. After all, whether on water or on land, owners of exceptionally luxurious spaces always expect one thing: An interior outfitter that can meet their strict requirements, handle complex projects and impress them with innovative interior solutions.

We’ve identified a lot of potential in the exclusive residential segment and in the growing refit market. As a result, we’re currently investing heavily in our sales and marketing activities in these sectors, intensifying our strategic partnerships and ensuring that our technical staff are well equipped to process projects,” explains Theresa Ludwiger-List.

The family-owned company’s profit is continuing to grow, from €38.3 million in 2013 to the latest valuation of €60.9 million in 2018. The effects of this development can also be seen in the company’s employment figures. Since 2014, the number of List GC employees has increased from 71 to 230 – and this number seems set to rise further.
The new division of labour in the management board
Theresa Ludwiger-List has been part of the management team since 2009 and as a member of the third generation of the family, has led the company since 2016. She focuses on the strategic development of the business and represents the management board to external parties as its spokesperson.

With the addition of business economist and tax consultant Gabriela Zraunig to the management board, List GC gains a professional with successful management experience. Since the start of February, she has been responsible for the Controlling & Finance, Project Calculation, IT, Purchasing, Logistics & Infrastructure and Human Resources and Marketing departments.

Ursula Leinemann brings comprehensive expertise from the Program Management and Governance, Risk & Compliance sectors to her role at List GC. From April 2019, she has taken on responsibility for the Quality Management & Project Management Office (PMO), Sales & Service, Project Management and Engineering, and Manufacturing and Outfitting departments.
